Keeping Yammer in Office 365 Ahead of the Curve
Social Media is the one of the most familiar and popular platforms for communication in the world. Social Media services must always look for ways to improve their solutions. That’s why Yammer is constantly being updated by Microsoft – to stay ahead of the curve and the competition. Recently, Microsoft announced a few game-changing improvements to Yammer.
For starters, Yammer is now part of Office Graph, making any information available and easily findable to everyone in their network. Coupled with Delve, relevant information from Yammer is now brought to your fingertips at the click of your mouse.
Microsoft also tweaked the algorithm that decides what relevant information to bring into your newsfeed, which supplies you with the best and most up-to-date content. This update makes working with a team an even more successful venture than ever, giving you the ability to “stay on top of all your projects from the feed and engage more deeply within groups.”
However great these updates may be, the best – in my humble opinion – is that they’ve now made it possible for extended teams to work together through Yammer, inside of the organization or not, through the new External Messaging feature. Partners, vendors, and customers are among the limitless types of team members that can be invited into your Yammer messages.
